Default To get a waterfall or not to get a waterfall?

Just setting up my new flexarium for the little yemen chameleon i'll be collecting on sunday.
Do I need a waterfall? I've heard that they can breed disease but whats the alternative? Without a waterfall how do I ensure that my cham gets enough water???
Any ideas?

im not sure if is the same as i have had no experience with chams but with beardies then tend to excrete in it then drink causing the "spreading of disease" i dont know but if it is like the beardies then i would say no but i may be wrong

Clean the waterfall every other day and you will be fine. Problems occur because people leave them weeks, or even months.. without realising they need to be cleaned. Even if the lizard doesn't poop in it, insects will, and they will also drown, and disappear out of sight behind the back or under the bump, and then they decay, and bacteria spreads. Change it out and clean it out and it'll be fine, but this is a lot more work than a water bowl. You don't need one, regular spraying will do the job, the humidity requirements are not sky high, and they will drink from leaves that have been sprayed.

if you are spraying enough and keeping the humidity up there shouldnt be a problem with the water intake

I read on a post that somebody put a hamster water bottle in their viv for a chameleon. Has anyone ever heard of this?
