Default cricket storage

am gettin my new beardie in about 2 weeks just a quick question about the old crickets, was gonna put a tank with them in on top of my viv but the missus would prefer it if they were out of sight . i have my viv on a cabinet, would they be ok in the cabinet under the viv if i installed a light which came on all day on my timer with the beardies lights or is this just a stupid idea as it just came to me now as i have had a few bevvies

do you think i would need to remove a bit of the back of the cabinet to allow more air in or would the little blighters be fine, the doors have a bit of a gap already due to my slightly dodgy diy skills . also would the bulb make it too warm in there or would the cricks prob benefit from a bit more warmth
