Got abit of a suprose yesterday to find that Maylin one my female Chinese Water Dragons had decided she was ready to lay again exactly 1 month after she laid a clutch of 9 eggs, this time she laid 11! lol this is suprise number 1,

as i popped into the reptile shop that i get all my live food from and he is kindly incubbating 11 cwd (9 form maylins first clutch and 2 from tians first clutch who is now spayed so wont lay eggs again due to complications) to find that one of the first 2 eggs had hatched in the night!

unfortunatly i didnt have my camara with me to take some pics but words can describe how cute the little thing is! hopefully i will get some pics of him/her soon!

awwww! congrats. i am waiting for my cwd ming-ming to lay. feels like she has a belly full of beans and she is digging like mad today!! she is refusing to dig in her nesting area though so am in a bit of a panic!

see if she lays in the next couple of days, she may ne digging test burrows, tian did this when she laid. if its any help try give her some more substrate to lay in, as soon as i added more to my viv the first hole she dug she dropped the eggs in.

popped up to the shop today and the other one had hatched!!!!!!

unfortunaly it looks like he/she's gonn have a badly kinked tail, its almost a right angle!! it only hatched an hour ago tho so the guy who incubated it for me says let it warm up and get the blood flowing and it may straighten but looking at it i doubt it...

got a few pics but there bad quality, will post them when i get home from work.

the other is happy and healthy and bombing around like a nutter already! lol

i got some but they were rubbish! lol

they are in a proper little viv now in the shop, going on sale in a couple of weeks, there both fine and eating like pigs!

i have to pop up tommorow to get more food, ryu was a greedy git today and decid3ed he wanted a wholetub of crix to himself so the females got one to share! lol
