I keep all my reps in a cool room so if the temps do get to warm out my reptiles don't over heat. Although my beardy has been going crazy in her enclosure. I let her run about and she just sits there at the doors but wont come out unless I get her out and put her on my sholder

They tend to get like that when the weather's nice. They can sense air pressures etc, so they know when the outside conditions are good, and seem to use that as more of a behavioural cue than the actual cage temperatures.

To a male in particular, nice day + breeding season = look for females.

That's probably why he was charging around (patrolling his territory / looking for new territory) and head bobbing (claiming territory). It doesn't matter that a male can't see a female; many will want to claim territory anyway, incase a female happens to walk through...

If we get a decent summer this year, I'd expect many of them to continue being a bit loopy at times.

A couple of years ago I converted a couple of rabbit runs into outdoor cages on the lawn, added swimming pools (up to a 4' x 2' one for Spyro) and put some outside during the day. At first they were a bit wary and agorophobic, but soon got into the swing of things. I set the cages up like regular vivaria - rocks, branches etc, with a grass "substrate". Oddly enough for a desert-dwelling lizard, Spyro spent an awful lot of his time swimming in his pool. He even learnt to push off into deep water from some rocks I had put at one end, and would swim around like a crocodile / iggy does, using its tail.

Possibly.

Once they have had nice weather for a bit of time, the novelty seems to wear off a bit - they have claimed their territory, are satisfied that no-one wants to fight them for it etc. Sometimes they stay a bit crazy though; usually they tone it down after a few days of good weather.

My two ladys were a bit weird yesterday.
Both going mental to get out, opend the viv n off they went!
No head bobbing though!
Lots of speedy bursts of sprinting around though.

Luckily, i cought boosh trying to have a poop on the (white) carpet...Sooo sooo close!
