Default Northern Clay Lizard?

My friend is taking the day off work and was in his back garden when he spotted a lizard on his wall.he send me a picture of it to my mobile and i thought it looked like a Common Lizard but he says its a Northern Clay Lizard.

iv never heard of these,and was wondering if anyone had any info on them? iv tried google to no avail
