Default Vittikins.

Is it true vittikins are infertile?
Also what sort of size are they as adults?

i don't think that vittikins are infertile. They're usually between 12" - 21" it all depends on their parents and how much they have inherited from each side.

Thank were unsure if our male rankins is actually a vittikins he's 10.5" so rankins sized but looks nothing like our female or any other rankins he's very pale and only sometimes shows his stripes on his chin. Hmm.

he could well be a vittikins even at that size. he could have been the runt of the litter or have beardie or vittikins in his breeding line quite far back and so that's why he only shows some of the traits.

if you post a pic of him, the people on the forum who have owned vittikins and/or rankins might be able to help and have more of an idea of what he could be.

As Alice said, Vittikins are fertile.

You get a "Vittikins" when either a Rankins line has ever had Beardie blood in it, or a Beardie line has ever had Rankins blood in it. A Beardie with a great-great grandparent that's a Rankins is still technically a Vittkins.

Have you got any photos of your Rankins? Did it look like all of its siblings when you got it?

Here are some pics of the little guy His viv isnt this bare he had mites at the time so we'd minimised his viv.

As for his clutch mates he only had one with him and it looked identical to him.

As you can see in the pics he has a beardie like appearance but weve just passed it off as him being better looking

We have been planning to breed him with our female rankins, if it is the case of him being a vittikins do you think it would be better to get a male rankins not vittikins?

To my eye that's a Rankins - it's hard to tell a mostly-Rankins-Vittkins from a 100% Rankins though, but it doesn't look particularly "beardie-ish"... Although in saying that it does have a pretty large head.

Have you got photos of the female, if they look totally different??
