They could be wood/substrate mites, we had an outbreak a little while ago. Theyre not harmful to the animals and a tube of defender mites sorted the problem out in no time.

yeah good idea. although new could still be from that damn coconut bark.. trap some and take to the shop. hopefully they can shed some light on this for you

good idea! if they cant help try a couple more aswell but if ur search is a failure you should take them to the vets, maybe take the lil fella's too if they seem different in their ways, also a poo sample would help a vet too lol..if you take a poo though make sure its as "fresh as possible

yeah we all love it when snakes get mites and end up checkin their poo out, horrible tasks we do for these reptiles eh

personally i'd clean the whole viv, disinfect and and soak the bark and coconut husk for a while to ensure everythings off. as long as everythings cleaned properly and they're not on ur leo it should be fine. if there are loads cant get scoop out hoovers are great!!

hi guys - thanks for the help

went to shropshire exotics today - Brian's said he thinks they're baby crix from the way I described them - still going to clean Bob out and put him on lino for a while. Looks like I'm lucky and can bread crix of my own
