well an exo terra terrarium would be better than a flexarium. A 30x30x45 would cost £25 - £40 depending on where you buy it. And its worth paying IMO because it will probably look better and be more practical than something youve knocked up at home

Spot the chams
,I have been thinking about making a 4x2ft viv and having a well planted and big colony of pygmy's but at the moment its just a thought,so for now they will have to do with the exo terra's, as already said they dont need alot of ventilation,Infact i have half the top cover'd up by polystyrene, heres a couple of tasters to get you in the mood for some(if you can find them )![]() ![]() |

There in 18x18x18's to be honest they aint recent pics,
in the pics there are 1.1 and 1.2 but i now keep them as 1.3 and whatever babies are lurking around in there. If i do decide to build a bigger viv for them i intend to keep any female babies and introduce a unrelated male,But if i do go ahead with it, It wont be for a while yet. 1 thing i will say though is if you use heatmats underneath just be carefull with any eggs as i found out the hard way that although it was on a stat, the heat from the mat spoiled the first 10 eggs i ever had. (temps in the viv were fine but the substrate was higher). |
