Default New Bearded Dragon!

Hey all

just recently got a baby Beardie (called him Gizmo!) and the shop i got him from says the heat lamp should be on all night, is this right?! just double checking.
I'll wack up some piccies soon, he's a cutey, tons of character!

congrats on your new beardie and no the light doesnt need to be on the viv should drop down to 70 and can go as low as 65 if it gets any colder than this you can use a heat mat on the side of the viv for night.

No. Better to connect the light to a stat - have it on for around 12 - 14 hours a day. Only need to use a night light (blue/red/green bulb) if the room is cooler than about 22 degrees c. Otherwise there's no need for a light at night.

No turn the lights out at night, most beardies will be ok with no heating over night unless it gets colder than 65F
