Stenodactylus sp., they're occassionally referred to as jewelled ground geckos. (having a guess before you post pics)

Commons names are not good, they vary far too much. Latins names are universal the world over, no confusion as to what you're getting. It's worth learning them for any species you have or fancy.

I've heard stenodactylus petrii or stenodactylus sthenodactylus being called "jewelled" geckos - is it these?

lol I got really excited when you said you thought it was gemmaeus! I'm a long term fan of Naultinus but as Gina said, theyre seriously expensive, and thats if you can find some for sale (i got offered a pair of stellatus last year but couldnt afford them!)

I did a bit of googling and came up with Diplodactylus elderi, an Aussie species also called the Jewelled gecko, but being Aussie, most of the Diplodactylus are fairly expensive too, so its unlikely you'd have come across them in a shop. They look gorgeous though so if it is those i'd love to know where you found them!

I wanna know what you're getting! lol

Crystal Palace Reptiles

would it be those by any chance?

They're commonly called Dune Geckos, but are often mis-labeled as Jewelled Geckos as seen above
