i have had my beardie just over a week and when i get him out hes fine on my bed running all over the place.
but when i took him into the lounge and today in the garden he hardly moves. is this because he is scared?

If the viv is in your bedroom he'll be used to the surroundings of it, he'll probably be unsure of the new places your taking him to.

I would imagine he's sussing everything out mate. Its a whole new environment to him, he can't see all these new 'exotic' (to him at least) places you're taking him.

You can do, how old is he just so theres a rough idea of how long he can be out for as adults are better with retaining heat from what I've been told.

I've never had any luck with my beardies outside they absolutely love everywhere in the house they feel totally at home . but as soon as they go outside they always lay flat to the ground, start darkening their beards and just generally getting pretty miserable about it. ive always assumed there scared of aerial predators. I pretty quickly just stopped trying with them outside.
