My Beardie Puffs Out His Belly When I Touch Him Is This Normal?

It's a sign your beardie isn't used to being handled. Over time he should calm down with that.

It is normal. My male, i've had for over a year now constantly does it. Even though i handle him on a regular. I think i just ended up with a grumpy one.

So yeah. Don't worry, keep handling and try hand feeding some greens. Hopefully over time yours will calm down

yeah mine tends to do it in his viv, taking him out of it and he's fine watches tv and scappers around quite happly

How long have you had it?

As the previous posters have said most the time it's normal behaviour especially in one that isn't used to being handled.

mine used 2 do it but after a month or so of me picking him up he is fine
