Default Monitor experiance....

....Basicly I have none but i have been looking at them and reading up abit and i've dicided I want one.

wait don't all start shouting at once
I'm talking in years to come.

anyway I just wanted to lnow best places to find out about them, other than you guys of course. so any good books or care sheets people can suggest?

And how many years rep experiance do you recommend before someone gets a monitor, plus is it worth getting ackies first to get used to the behaviour in a smaller animal?

Help and advice please

Not sure how I'm gonna piss people off today but yeah I think Ackies are a good choice. With Monitors you also get the issue of room.

One thing I will say on my behalf is that taming a Bosc is harder than I imagined it would be but I'm loving every minute of it. I have experince with large Monitors from work too and I think you do need to take into account that so may never tame.

I have a book called 'Tha Savannah Monitor Lizard' by a guy called Daniele Bennet which I found very educational.

Yeah I saw that video, quality. I was pissing myself.

Not sure what else to say on this matter. I don't wanna try and persuade you to get a certain type of Monitor but I just love the old Bosc's, always have.
