Default collard lizard or leopard lizard?

Hey

Hopefully going to have a 2 1/2 foot viv free and were just considering what is needed size wize for a collard lizard? or a leopard lizard?

I have been researching in to both but cant actually find what size viv they need.

If these reptiles wouldnt be suitable for this size then any suggestions on what reptiles would be? we all ready have leopard geckos, african fat tailed geckos and steno geckos. Were after something different, any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

no idea, never kept either, but a shop in sheff imported a lot of cb babies, and as they have the same conditions, in together for the time being, and look so cute...if i was you, would buy a 5' viv and put a few in!!!

kept both and bred both some years ago. these can be fast lizards who like to run...incl on hind legs at speed.... so a longer viv is more suitable but i also had levels all built up a fair height to basking areas, they still like a dark hiding ares for evenings. they're fantastic lizards so go for it. as long as they can leap and 'stretch' legs they'll be ok. if going for a group i would personally go 3 or 4 ft with levels

I had 3 collareds in a 5x3 for a bit but now they have had to be put in a 4x2.5 As much space as possible as they love to run around and a partner would be good for it to interact with. They need high uv % and a hot desert basking spot. A few hides rocks and bark. Eat ANYTHING and mine love to play with lettuce. Not a holding pet as they can jump and run veryy fast and high. Collareds all the way!!

why dont many people breed them? hard? not popular? i know someone who has, but imported lots of cb ones as he hates wc stuff (its a shop so hates to sell wc for ethics)

i loved breeding them and supplied most of the places down south selling them as they prefferred cb rather than wc. they were rarer back then. very comical lizards with loads of personality.
