Unhappy help grumpy baby beardie!!!

have had a baby beardie for 3 weeks now and all was going really well till tonight!!
went into the viv to handle him as i normally do and he went mental puffing up and hissing!!! what the hell has made him go like this? nothing has changed in his viv and he is eating normally and poohing,he last shed just over 2 weeks ago,so is he due to shed again and can this make him grumpy!! he has been alittle more skittish over the past few days. what is the best way to handle this,do i back off and leave him or go back in and show him that im not scared and doing this will not make me back off!!
dont wanna do the wrong thing and make things worse and stress him,PLEASE HELP

He might just be in a mood, my beardie gets like this from time to time, especially if he's been sleeping! I don't think it's anything to worry about. Obviously if it persists, then I would post again and see if someone can suggest anything to calm him down, like try to persuade him to come out with a treat like a wax worm.

If he's eating and poohing ok i wouldn't worry too, how old is he? Mine used to go dark and grumpy alot but has stopped that now, and is now going through a 'hiding' stage, like a teenager in their room lol but best thing to do is leave him alone for a while before trying to handle again

Same sort of age mine was when he had grumpy moments, plus yours may still be settling, took mine about a month to settle and get used us and his surroundings, keep an eye on him
