confused about habistat help??????
I'm buying some bearded dragons soon, and the person said that i will need a habistat controller. But there is 3 to choose from:
habistat mat-stat habistat temperature-stat habistat dimmer-stat I need one to control the lights in my viv as beardies don't have heatmats. I been looking on ebay and the mat stat and temp stat isn't for lights? I didn't really want to get a dimmer stat as they are 50 odd quid. can someone help?????please regards tom.

Dimmerstat is for Lights
Pulse Proportional is for Ceramic Heat Elements (Can also be used for heat cables and mats) MatStat is for Heat Mats They are rated with a maximum wattage also - worth bearing in mind. Mercury Vapour bulbs (despite being lights) cannot be rigged to any thermostat. There are cheap stats here: Pet Heating Solutions - Aztec Europe Ltd but it doesn't state if they are dimmer or pulse proportional, I expect they are dimmer. Dave.

you need a dimmer stat dude, the best ones one the market are Habistat and you can pick them up for about £45 from livefood.co.uk

Dimmerstats are the way to go, they are good, Habistat is the best IMO, if you want BD's you've got to fork out.
Sorry mate, but thats how it is. You should think yourself lucky, i've got 4 dimmers and 3 mat stats.
