Default How often should a leo poo?

A young one, if that makes much difference. Fed on mealworms, black crickets and sometimes waxworms.

I can't help but notice my new one pooing about once a week for three weeks. Not good.

Mine usually poo every 2 or 3 days. How much does it eat daily?

She eats either three mealworms or the same amount of crickets a day and simply refuses any more than that. I mean quite frankly I don't think she is eating enough but she hasn't seemed to realize there are mealworms in her bowl.

She isn't underweight. Her tail is fat.

Yeah. Well I'll increase her heating to about 90 for the night. Maybe she isn't digesting properly.

*nods* mine are pretty regular like that ~ every day
also what are the temps in the viv? As if the temps are too low it can slow a leo's digestion and slow/stop them eating ~ Idealy it should be 88*F-90*F at the hot end

Oh yeah it's about 86 but turned it up to 90. She's on paper towels as she's only a youngling so no chance of impaction.

just up the heating and see how that goes.

you could also give her a luke warm bath to get her started, as this will normally help in getting the bowel movements going.
