Default Breeding desert iguanas

I was reading the crocodile skink topic, and some replies of breeders of both crocodile skinks and also crocodile lizards. Knowing theres only a handful that have done it.

I wish to know of desert iguana breeders. Ive never seen a CB one on the internet, all CF or WC.

I'd really like to find out have they been bred in captivty?
where in captivity? (america, uk etc)
and so on.

Im getting my male a female hopefully very soon. and if not i will be hunting one down!
I'd like to get him 2 but at the moment it would be unfair because they would need a bigger vivarium.

I really REALLY want to concentrate on breeding them next year!
and i know it will be very hard, if at all achievable.
But im going to try so hard on making them happy and getting the right conditions.
It's my big project, and i want to write a detailed caresheet on the species too as i go along and learn more and more about them in captivity.

Ive seen people with males and females but no mention of breeding, eggs or hatchlings.

Does anyone know of anyone or read anywhere about CB desert iggies?
and if i succeeded would i be the first in the UK? surely not?

any info appreciated.

Pics of anyone elses desert iggies would be great, as i dont know who else owns them on the forum.
Here's my Creo for some eye candy. lol

I noticed the other day that in this thread regarding the stock of Serpentus Exotics weeminx lists the Desert Iguanas as CB

serpentus exotics (scotland)

This suprised me as I didn't know they were available CB but hey, might be worth checking with her / the shop and finding out if they are in fact CB or if they have ... mistakenly... listed them as CB when they are in fact CF or WC.

I should have Sinai Agamas and a very limited amount of steno petrii. I think.. still have the other 2 deserts and might have them with me, or even more Will have leopard geckos and corn snakes and maybe some beardies if my eggs hatch by then and I've got space for them.

I'm thinking about taking some rodents but not 100% sure on that.. and I was going to take some tree frogs but I don't want them to dry out and they seem to get stressed easily so might just leave them in peace.

Cheers.
At the show i will be looking for CF desert iguana females.
Viper geckos and helmeted geckos.

thats it really.
I want to try and get 1 male and 2-3 female viper geckos.
A female desert iggy is on my top most inportant with the vipers being second. helmeted geckos depends on price and if any are available and if i dont end up buying more viper gekx. lol

Thanks quixotic_axolotl, but im not wanting wc, i'd much prefer to get CF where at all possible.

If CB were availible i'd be willing to pay upto £100 for one! lol
So price does'nt matter, but thanks for the info and im sure other people will be very interested!

i dont blame you. I think anyone offering CB is really offering CF. (or wc in some cases).
Ive never heard of cb with the species and theres nothing on the internet about it. Which really makes me determind to find out more!

It also bothers me slightly. why has'nt it happened? are they THAT hard to breed.
im gonna have my work cut out for me, and if i just cant do it, hey i got me some lovely pets and thats what their for initially! but i would love to breed the species as a bonus.
