I cant believe that!!! They obviously HAVENT really looked in2 the case. If they had they would no that the very diff husbandary needs of the diff species mean that the animals are suffering

Tops "sending the boys round" attitude is never the correct way to go,as for giving our hobby a worse name,i myself am extremely pro-active.i run regular herpetology awareness talks and lectures and shows to both children and adults alike,it never ceases to amaze me the publics perception towards our hobby..this is a particular subject that i am always trying to promote..public awareness is key...

there are however a few things you may consider doing...

1/ contact Eddie Munt Eddie.from F.O.C.A.S (FEDERATION OF COMPANION ANIMAL SOCIETIES) who has had experience with these kind of matters...

2/ Do you have a local Herpetology club / societies which would be willing to help in this matter

cheers Dal....

IF the RSPCA honestly went round this is another damning piece of evidence that they just havent got a clue... and they are the very organisation telling us we shouldnt be keeping reps... it boils my blood!!!

I think the suggestion of getting a well resepcted herp person on board is great... pls keep us updated with this and good luck...

Just ring environmental health, explain the differences in husbandry, they will have to listen to what you say, you can put it in writing if you like.

thats terrible they are the people with the authority to go in there, assess the situation, address each point of your complaint and take appropriate action.

Wow I'm truly shocked.

One thing is for sure, you should be proud of yourself for doing something about it, and carrying on when you hit a brick wall.... good for you !!

And at least you have someone here that has the right contacts or at least can supply you with further avenues to persue

Good luck, I hope they are sorted soon x x
