After my first Liz i just kept slow worms and common lizards in cornflake boxes for a couple of weeks before releasing them but the best liz i ever caught in the UK was a female sand lizard which was alegedly extinct in devon... a right beauty she was.

yeah, going out whenever i can and trying to get some critters to look at is half the hobby to me. i can't walk down the street without automatically looking for a box turtle or rat snake..it's just a habit. herping sure makes backpacking a lot better!!

I remember when i was about 7 yrs old we drove to italy on holiday and my father stopped in a country lane for a break and on a small bridge over a river there were at least 50 lizards jusk basking in the sun on the little stone bridge, loads of different species and i think it must of been then that i got totally addicted, i can remember catching a green lizard in the fig trees what a beauty he was,,,oh this was in 1966 which we all know was a great year.....

mine was a beardy! think i mustve been getting impatient to mother something, i was 7 months pregnant when i got mine! he is my baby though

mine was a green anole, poor little guy, i bought it thinking it was cool, and it was cheap, had no idea what i was doing and he only lasted a matter of weeks, lesson learned, sorry mr anole!
