How much do they both weigh?
If they're both male and haven't reached sexual maturity yet there isn't a problem YET. But if theyre both male these problems can start overnight. I had this problem once a long time ago didn't know I had 2 males in one tank and they were all fine then one night it all started the next day one of the males almost lost his whole foot. I'd split them up just in case. Even if you're sure one is male and one is female I'd let them grow up seperately to let the girl grow.
Once the male has reached sexual maturity he'll go after the girl and once she has been bred she won't grow anymore. That's how some people end up with females that only weigh 30-40 grams rest of their lives, the eggs will be of bad quality and so can the babies that hatch out of them be.
Keep them seperate until the female (if it's a female) is at least 50 grams.

I'd certainly agree, if in doubt seperate. It is extremely difficult to tell from your photo especially as it was young at the time.

The pre-anal pores in a mature male will look like dark spots as they begin to secrete and sexing will become very obvious! We currently have 2 leo's sold to us as females that we are not sure of so have seperated them until we can be sure - and we use an 8x magnifier!! Better to be safe than sorry.
