Question Locusts

Would it be ok to feed my 4 month old beardies medium locusts now? I have been finding it takes a lot of small oned to fill them.

Depends how big the beardie is. The general rule of thumb is something no bigger than the distance between its eyes.

I feed slightly bigger though, infact.....quite a bit bigger for an adult beardie.

You can feed him locusts no problem but be careful, locust are like crack coacine to beardies. It took me ages to get my lot back onto crickets after a stint on locust...

id say as long as there no bigger than the head of the bd

my beardie is 7mnths old and he eats large locusts when he gets them. i know its not really reccommended to feed crix etc too big, but mine will go through 30 odd crix that are as big as the gap between his eyes, i'd be feeding all day! he munches the bigger ones no problem, if it was ever difficult for him i'd stop but he eats them just fine

I feed them about half size of a locust over the width of the head, never known a beardie not munch food up before swallowing yet.

I use locusts as my staple for my vittys and find it is better for them.
