Default Whats up with my CWD?

Whats up with my wd?
He's slowed down a bit because of the winter but the last 2 days he's not really moved around alot or eaten as much as usual.
Also he's got those black speckles they get when they get angry or cold. His uv is due to be changed do you think that could be the problem? x

I think the most likely answer to this is that it is going into brumation

He slowed down about a month ago, he's already started brumation, he's just looked so unhappy in the last 2 days x

well it could be a number of reasons
1. brumation...obviously they slow down, stop eating and tend to stay hidden for a few days + at a time
2. could be due to shed?? they go darker when this happens
3. has the temp dropped much?

how old is it and how big is the viv? if you have a big viv i'd advice you invest in a mega ray bulb and you'll see a massive change in colour of your wd. did you get it from glovers by any chance?

iw as with u spaceman, i didnt think they brumate!

what temps have you got at the mo? are you using a heat source at night? i keep mine on a thermo controller and mine have stayed the same, i havent dropped them for winter so mine havent tried to brumate!

day/night cycles can confuse reptiles....who knows? 100,000 years ago they might have been more temperate....

ye i suppose, i was just under the impression thaty been a very equitorial region they are from day and night cycles to not vary as greatly in light times and temperatures as something in the nothern or soutern hemisphere for example a beardie from aus will experience hot summer with long daylght ours, cold winter with the opposite daylight. whereas on the equater its gonn be roughly the same all year round is it not?
