Hi I have spoken to three different people who I know keep Madagscan Giant Day Geckos and thay have helped me a lot thank you!

I just want to know other people opinions.
One has got flecks of skin on its back that dont seem to want to come off and another has got the same as the other but went into shed yesterday and now has got the flecks on its back and a full shed all over its body including legs and tail, the only shed that has come off so far is its head. They are kept in a small viv at the moment with spahgnum moss in the bottom and are misted twice daily.
I asked someone else for help and they said to put it in a cricket box with sphagnum moss in and misted it. I also put the box nearest to the bulb to create a sauna effect in the box (obviously not too hot). I've only just done that so I dont know if that will work.
I tried this and it seemed to crack the skin...

Its pretty much the same on the tail as well. It's stopped trying to peel it of itself and just for anyone who doesnt know about these geckos you cant hold them and have control over them, if that makes sense.
Any advice is appreciated.
