It's not illegal to feed live vertebrate prey full stop at this point - whether you're feeding it to an invert or to a reptile or a bird or a mammal. What it is is frowned upon, and it MIGHT run the risk of a cruelty case if you're doing it for the wrong reasons.

It IS however illegal to feed live in public or 'on display'.

Never fed my leo a pinkie, havent bred her and appears to be fine without them. They're great source of calcium and high in fat so ideal for mothers to be.

If i was to feed a pinkie, id cut out other 'treats' such as waxworms.

Only one of my lot will even entertain the idea (she adores day old rat pinks), she gets them as a treat very occasionally.

My leos wont eat them but my BD loves it lol

Yeah the beardie and ackie are a different matter, Beardie loves them but they put weight on him real quick. The ackie has chopped up pinks which is messy but brilliant to watch.

Some of our leos will take them others just look and them and walk away even thought we use tongs to wiggle the pinky they just turn their nose up lol

I've never tried feeding my gecko's pinkies but I think I will try when I breed them if it's really good for them with the extra fat and calcium.

Never fed my leos pinkies. Although I may give one to my females. They all eat like piggies but never seem to gain weight....My ackies adores them, but he's only allowed one every 2-3 weeks, not very healthy for him!

ive fed my adult females live pinkies before.

i know some people will think its cruel but my leos love it!
