Yuk that looks horrable,, how did you fing out that he had them and how you cure it and dis-infect please.

Yes, all 3 new beardies have got them.

Immortal, when i got them i didn`t really examine them closely, i thought they`d be better off being left to settle in. They weren`t eating properly, and i noticed they were all very subdued and looked down in the dumps. When i looked closer at their eyes etc i saw the mites in the folds.
I used MiteOff spray and soaked them with it, and cleaned their eyes as best i could with a cottonbud dipped in olive oil, the viv was stripped and everything disinfected in V.18, they`re back in there now on just newspaper. Just hoping the spray will do the trick.

Horrible little critters

Yuck, poor babies, makes my skin crawl and my head itch just like when people talk about head lice . Good job you spotted them and are working on them to get rid

Just an update, the babes are looking a bit more comfotable today, but can still see tiny mites moving on them so will have to respray them all in a couple of days

Sounds like Mite Off is working - I haven't tried that - once my rankins had the mites it spread to the snakes and I've been using Provent a Mite (on the vivs) but although the dragons have been clear now for a couple months my crawl cay still seems to have them just when I think they've gone
