hi all im new to this site my name is fra (frazer) and im having trouble getting my beardy to eat , i will tell the full story, i brought 2 beardys from my local reptile pet shop, got them into there new home and fed them some meal worms all was fine the next day i found that 1 of them had been being sick i just put that down to feeding them to much (as altho ive done quite a bit of homework on beardys im new to keeping them) , fed them again later that night ( locust and crickits , not many this time ) and 1 was eating fine wile the other 1 would not move and just did not seem intrested wot so ever , i put this down to him just not being hungry altho this happend for another 2 days he was not intrested in doing anything other that bask with his eyes shut , so i took him back to the shop and asked advise he said that because maybe i overfed him he went off his food but if he off food for to long he aint got no energy to go hunting and feed himself she he force fed him some waxworms and sent me home with the rest of pot telling me to do the same evey day , well the next day he died! , so yet agin i went back and he said sorry and let me pick another 1 so i chose 1 that was really active brought him home and today is his 3rd day and he still hasent eaten but is still active, ive read something about letting them settle but how long can and will they go without food ? just getting worried as ive lost 1 already, temps are ok, uvb is a 10 , and other beardy is brill runs around eats and drinks so im really confused plz help many thanks fra

I think it's normal for them to go without food for up to a week when you first get them, the move can stress them out and put them off their food.

Do you know what sex they both are? Only unless they're both females you may well need a second setup once they're a little bigger (and sometimes even if they are both female)

even tho you said your temps are fine what are your temps? are you feeding them the right size crix and locust(shouldnt be any bigger than the gap between there head) how old are your beardies because if there only babys they shouldnt really be having alot of meal worms because of the hard outer shell. what subsrate are you keeping them on? it can be normal for them to go off there food because the stress of the move. mine ate a little but not alot but thats better than nothing. answer my questions so i can get a clearer idea of how your viv is set up.
