Default Heatmat size , help please !

What size of heatmat would you use in a 2 foot long viv, i have a 18" mat, is this okay or is it too big ?

You want to cover approx 1/2 to 1/3 of the vivs floor area with a mat

If you have the 18" already you could just put it partly up the end/side of the tank to make it cover 1/3 (learnt from when my brother had to quickly buya heat mat - he got a 26" heat mat for a 2.5 viv )

HI LOL,

Thanks for this, i would never even have thought of that, just takes someone who knows what they are doing to point out the obvious!!

Managed to change the order to a 11 inch heatmat which should do the trick !

Ingenious thinking sometimes the best answers are so simple ...
