Default Mealworm supply question

Will mealworms from a fishing tackle shop be ok for reps ?

lol
im not sure, I was actually disscussing this with a non herper mate yesterday...
As they are not bred for rep food they may not be "clean" but then i was thinking...
after x amound of days gutloading any trace of anything bad would be gone..wouldnt it?

then i said..but they are cheap enough to buy in 500g or kilo bags online even from rep sites...

I know that doesnt actually answer anything.

It just popped into my head yesterday and none of the local pets shops here sell rep foods the nearest is a 1 bus ride away and they only do frozen and the other place is a 2 bus ride away but we have a tackle shop in the local highstreet.

I wouldn't think they would be bad as such just needed gutloading but I'd rather get a thumbs up before trying

Its a good call dude, might be worth asking in the lizards section, its a pretty good question that hasnt been overly disscussed.
