You might find a 2-foot viv, unless it's really packed with hides so that your baby royal can move from one end of the viv to the other without you seeing him at all, is far too big for a brand new hatchling.

I'd probably suggest a smallish tub until you're sure he's eating properly... especially if you're getting a captive-farmed (CF) baby.

Hey, if its those CF royals, I think you're goin into very dodgy territory, you might be better with an establushed feeder 07? I would suggest if you had trouble with the Cali who was a good feeder, a baby CF might be better when you've got more experience?

There will be plenty of established Royal feeders at Donny show, if its anything like the last one, thats where we got our young one (£35), and shes been no trouble at all, feeds weekly without fail.

I agree with the previous posts. by getting a CF baby, theres so much that could go wrong (feeding being the main issue) since its one of your first snakes, a nice CB one from a reliable breeder would seem like the better option.
goodluck with getting your snake and please choose wisely.
