To be honest, although being a mod would be interesting i don't think its really a main objective within being a member of a forum.

I'm a member of this forum to partake in discussions about reptiles and exotic pets.... some other convo's happen in 18+ but thats another story! lol.

But anyway, i'm happy enough as i am now - i.e a simple "user" of the forum, if i was to become a mod then thats cool, if not i again don't care if i really wanted to be a MOD i'd make my own forum, creating a forum isn't extremely difficult - keeping it running and making it better to accommodate new loads of users IS how ever.

..... and if you've been around a few forums for a while you'll realise that you'd have to be mad to volunteer as a mod If you take the job half way seriously you get abused when you do step in and then again abused when you let a thread run (I mod on 2 other forums). You also need to be on line checking the whole forum pretty frequently, so it really does chew up your time.

On one forum we've a "War Room" where arguements get moved - it has an "enter at own risk" heading and gets used for heated discussions, more effective is the one wrong move and you're out regulation. You've a couple on here I'd have used both these options on in the last week.
