Default Moderators Preamble

Why do we need moderators?
Moderators are needed to help administer the Registration Agreement Terms and if included, Rules, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of the forum.

How are moderators selected?
Moderators are appointed by the boards owners/administrators.

Who can be a moderator?
Only members who are actively participating on the forum and reliable and trustworthy can be a moderator.

Can I apply to be a moderator?
Yes you can. However, this does not guarantee that you will get the appointment. If you are genuinely interested in becoming a moderator, please send a PM to the board Administrator.

LOL bit cheeky aint it going 'can i be a moderator?' think these things are normally offered but still if ya don't ask ya don't get i suppose lol. Wonder how many pm's admin get a year on it?

I'm a little confused; does this mean that Mod's are needed and anyone interested should PM the admin or... ?

It's some random thing ppl on here seem to do, whenever it looks like a topic cud cause lots of pm's to be sent they always direct them to snake r great so he gets bombarded with them all lol.

I like the MODs on this forum; they don't try and be as "intimidating" as some on other forums so i don't get banned

seriously though its usually T-Bo who asks you rather than people asking him if they can be a mod. Thankless task that it is why we do it I dont know!

I should imagine that those who DO pm people asking to be a mod just get told no anyway? I mean as said before it is rather rude.

That's true, but otherwise is there not a risk of it just becoming an 'Old Boys Club' with friends bringing friends in so it ceases to be objective.

I suspect that is how it seems to happen on other forums, mentioning no names....
