Default What Should i Get Next

originally i was gonna hold back on getting any more reps or phibs because i was planning to move out to a new place in the next few months but due to a change in circumstance that won't be happening for about a year.

So ive decided to start saving up / getting equipment for a new pet this time im gonna go for a lizard or a snake but the choices are endless. although im quite new to more exotic pets ive had lots of experience with the more mundane types so im quite confident i can cope with what eva i choose.

here's what im thinking.

either a rough green snake a anery corn or crestie. i would love a blue tongued skink but im not sure i could blag that with my parents.

all have there good any bad points
Corn Good: easy to keep, acquire and handle
Corn Bad: eats mice (not so much a problem but keeping them in the freezer might be )
Green Snake Good: Beautiful, Easy to cater for
Green Snake Bad: Slightly more difficult to handle, escape artists
Crestie Good: easy to cater for, Fun to watch
Crestie Bad: If drop its tail it dont grow back.
Blue Tongued Skink Good: Easy To Handle(for a big lizard), and feed
Blue Tongued Skink Bad: BIG (but i like that)

ive never really had much interest in leopard geckos they've just never held that much of a sway over me even though there are some great looking ones out there.

If your going to have the same problems next year should you be thinking about another rep ? Reps do live for an average of 10 years after all...

prob wouldn't go for a rough green simply because only ever seen wc available and they can fetch no end of parasites in. once settled they are supposedly not too difficult to keep but i never got chance to find out as mine was delivered dead unfortunatley (needless to say wasn't very happy)

corns are great snakes, and anries are gorgeous if you haven't kept snakes before...

or maybe a royal python (you say you have experience but don't know what with lol) royals are great snakes but can be finicky feeders. i love these snakes though and they are fantastic to keep

no idea with any other reps lol, only keep snakes. good luck with whatever you choose!!

i dont have much experience with reptiles. Ive kept cats mice budgies hampsters fish (so many fish) frogs (for a little while till they were deemed 2 noisy) and now newts.

as for the rough green snake i think 888 reptiles has some CB ill have to check tho
