Default Viv heat

How much heat does the viv give off to the rest of the room? I will be having the viv in my room and wondered how much heat it gave off to the room.

that would really depend on the size of the viv and the heat source but a say for instance a 3foot viv with just a heat matt u would have no change in room temp i doubt you would even notice a change if u had a 150 watt ceramic to be honest

It all depends on the species and the size of the room.

A room that has bearded dragon vivs in will be noticeably warmer. A room that only has a cornsnake in probably won't be...

It will be a 3ft viv to start with for a beardie. Hades said that i will notice a difference so is it a big difference? as i have no where else to put the viv really.

It won't be that much of a difference. I used to keep a couple of beardies in a bedroom and the room got a bit warmer than the rest of the house in summer, but it was easy enough to deal with by opening windows etc.

do you put a sheet over the viv at night? because surely it would be hard to sleep with bright lights next to your bed?
