Lets just say....LOTS of space, like an entire room. UV needed and fed only on greens. If your getting one please get a rescue.

Heres a quote from someone:

Are you a beginner to Reps?? If so heed the warning that Iguana's don't make very good starter lizards.

But I agree with Lucifus that they need a whole room.

As a starter i would NEVER advised getting an iggy. They are large and have notoriously grouchy tempers but have a heck of a lot of weight to throw around.

The space you would need is huge, theyre not really a lizard that appreciates being handled and i have met many people who say theirs is literally a centre piece - look but dont touch.

This is seriously what you want then good luck but like it has been said, please consider a rescue animal as so many people buy the little cute green ones, they grow and they are rehomed.

Cheers good luck.

I have to agree with the lads, they take alot of commitment and and looking after, I had to rehome my iggy a while ago due to his temper we tried everything to tame him and he was having none of it, Yep they need a full room and time outside in the sun

A green iguana isnt a reptile that stays small, as already said they require loads of room.

Dont just think you can put them in a 4 foot viv and thats it.

Try posting in lizards you may get more experienced keepers which can help you out !!
