Hello im new here and am looking to get a leo gecko but iv just got a quick question.
For a subtrate i am going to get some lino, is normal lino okay and will the heat mat go straight under the lino? (just worried about it getting too hot and melting).

Why use lino, whats wrong with standard substrate like sand etc.

may i add for a baby tissue paper will be better untill its a little bigger i wouldnt risk using sand...

Any lino is fine just make sure it is an absolute perfect fit or all the crickets will go underneath it. Yes put the heatmat directly under it
