Default Equipment for a bearded dragon?

Hi, i'm looking into buying a bearded dragon. I have done some research into vivariums and setups, could you tell me if there's anything i've missed (or got wrong, never kept bd before).

Vivarium - 36" long (or would a 4 foot be better for a baby)?
UVB tube (to run the length of the viv, on all the time)?
Heat source (ceramic clamp lamp 150w, on for 12 hours of the day)?
Thermometer/hygrometer
Substrate (repticarpet)
Thermostat (to keep the viv at right temp)
Calypso calcium dust and nutrobal
Food bowl
water bowl (i've read that water bowls are controversial, ie: not all bd will drink from them and they affect humidity of the viv)
Scenery/plants/viv decor

Thanks x

a 3ft is good for a baby but youll prob need to get a 4ft later on so why not get the 4ft now and partition it of to save money..
the uv bulb is best on for 12 hours per day
most beardies will soak in water even if not drink so you could always put the water in for an hour a day if you prefer but with a baby id leave a shallow dish of water in all the time as these do tend to drink..
if youre gonna use a ceramic youll need a pulse proportional thermostat

vivarium - 4x2x2 minimum for adult so may aswell buy it now, but you will need to put something in the middle to make it smaller for the baby and make it feel more secure eg. a peice of MDF to partition it off.
uv - 10.0 repti-sun, on 12-14 hours a day.
heat bulb - not a ceramic, use a bulb, on for 12-14 hours a day(turn off with uv)
substrate - repticarpet and then if you like when its a year old you can keep it on play sand.
thermostat - habistat dimming stats are best, put the probe in the middle of the viv to get the correct temps.
dusting - calcium monday - friday, vitamins saturday and sunday.
water bowl - if small if wont do anything to humidity if kept in cool end.

hope i helped

luke

Agree with Luke..beardies love bright light thats constant, a pulse thermo may be a bit stressful for the beardis..good luck

thanks everyone, you have been a great help. I'll knock the ceramic lamp off the list
