If you're worried about the sand, take it out and use newspaper until you're confident with your new dragon - how old is it?

The cage is probably fogging over if the sand was damp. (I'd personally take the sand out for that reason too )

what sand did you buy? There's going to be people with mixed reactions about impaction, is it a baby or adult, i'd say with a young one sand is more of a no no but my friend has had his adult desert iguana on sand for what five years now, when he feeds it he generally tries to make sure the cricket/locust/mealie or what ever is on the flat pieces of rock he has in there rather then on sand. He's never noticed it tasting the sand and if so, for the last five years it seems to have been ok. Not sure if it's different for Bearded Dragons, i guess "desert Iguana" suggests they live on sand in the wild, maybe they know not to eat it better then bearded dragons do.

Also misting over...hmm, what's the ventilation like in the enclosure, maybe post a picture of it and people who know a bit more then me would tell you if it's ok. Also maybe your sand is wet, bake it in the oven or something for a bit, it will get rid of any germs anyway which is a good idea.

If you are using play sand, then it takes days to dry out and will fog up the viv until it is dry. Newspaper would be a better substrate.

Yup, newspaper, kitchen towel or lino would be better.

Maybe ask the pet shop/breeder to hold him until you've read up abit more and are more prepared!

As above, kitchen roll or tiles etc.

Good luck, - ohh and my advice is to research, as above
