Female does sound a bit small to be breeding. How old is she?

As others have said, your female really is quite small to be breeding - and also the male is quite a lot bigger, and could damage her if she is not ready for it. The smaller the female the greater the chance of egg binding which can be quite serious in corn snakes.

It is out of season now, I would recommend buying doing plenty of research, building the female up - weigh her again next March/April ready for the breeding season and see if she picks up enough weight by then

There is also a guide to breeding/timing on my website, www.cwcorns.co.uk or on lots of reputable sites on the net
