I was just trying to find the simplest solution to having 2 smaller separate vivs, you can't leave the heating as it is you'd have to treat each half as a separate viv and set it up as such with a cool and warm end in each half. It might just be easier to get another enclosure tbh, if you make a post in the lizard section about this you will get much more experienced advice.

the things I am certain about are
All reputable breeders won't guarentee sex until at least 6 months old.
2 males should not be housed together, or one of each sex until they are mature enough to breed, 2 females are ok but should be same size and see above.
dominant beardies can and will nip tails and toes of their siblings.

If you haven't actually seen them fighting I would leave them together for the time being,as you don't know if the damage to tail was done by the other dragon, just make sure you keep the wound clean and keep a check on it to make sure it does not get infected,if you are having problems with left over crickets in the viv you could try getting a large tub that the beardie will fit in easily and put them in one at a time for feeding usually what they eat in about 10 to 15 mins is all they want, this will stop having crickets running about at night as they are devils to catch, also you can be sure of how much each one is eating and don't forget the veg,of course there is no need to feed this in the tub just leave in viv as they will help themselves when they want it,if you still have problems with crickets in the viv leave them some fruit or veg to eat and then they will leave your beardies alone.

The tail was nipped during the day definitely, and we clear the viv of all crickets every night. Will leave them together for now cos he's definitely not wary of the other one. The nip is nearly healed over and the end looks like its ready to drop off very soon bless him!!
