Certain zoos keep colonies of Heterocephalus (Naked Mole Rats) in the UK. I have seen them available to private keepers in Europe but not sure about the UK. They appear to be fairly tricky to keep, with a very complex social system. They have to be kept in particularly sterile quarters.

Georychus (the hairy mole rats) seem to be held much less frequently. I've seen them only in European collections.

i read somewhere they socialise in anything from 75 - 80 !
and i wouldnt have room for that many haha
as much as id want to :P
