I'm a vet sudent, and have studies the reproductive cycles of many species in some detail, however I am unable to find any real info on African Pygmy hedgehogs/any hedgehogs come to that... If anyone could enlighten me it would be much appreciated.
- I presume they are polyoestrous, not seasonally polyoestrous?
- What is the factor for maternal recognition of pregnancy?
- Length of follicular and luteal phase?
- Reproductive anatomy?
- When is the optimum age to breed a female for the first time?

This is all just personal curiosity, and because I intend to breed my hedgies, thanks xxx
