Default Highest kill rate

German shepherds have the highest kill rate (humans) when the attack. The people they kill are usually people they don't know or burglers/trespassers ect. I have a 1yr old bitch and she is soft as with me and the wife. She is VERY protective of us (and our puppy), but how will she be with our baby when he is born? I've been told she will be protective and very loving, but would like to know from people who have been there and done that.

she has to be let known that she is below the baby as far as the pack is concerned.

I have had German sheperds all my life and am pretty good at training. I will be making sure she knows her rank in the family, so hopefully she will get the hint.

I think there's only one way you'll find out as dogs. no matter what their breed and reputation are so very different.
Obviously you'll be watching her like a hawk around your son when he's born and there's no need to tell you not to leave them alone together, as common sense will tell you that..
Good luck, hopefully we wont be seeing a "For Sale: GSD" post in 9 weeks lol.

I know my dog VERY well and she is great. I can kick the hell out of her (in a playing way) and she will not even think about hurting me. She does grab my arm, but only holds it. She will just grab my arm (when playing) and it doesnt even leave a scratch. She is one of the most loyal dogs I've met.
