I have to agree I love CSJ for my two. That said it could be because mums a stockist for our Flyball club *grins*.
We have two mental border collies. Megan is 4 going on 5 this year and is a gorgeous red and white. I'd say shes a lady but then I'm just be lying. Shes a grumpy cow who is very independent and prefers to go off and play by herself rather then take you on. OR round up the cat. You see that cat was placed in this house for her sole amusement alone. He MUST be rounded up so hes on his feeding table in the conservatory, on the couch or on the window in the living room. If hes not there he must be herded until he IS there. Megan does flyball (coming up to her platinum award for those of you who do flyball! So proud.) obedience (she knows it all but is one of those "I'll do it if I must" - she doesn't enjoy it sadly and I'm not going to try and compete her in something its plain shes only doing because I'm making her) as well as starting in Agility. Now that she loves. I'm hoping to compete her this year. ![]() ![]() Anyone elses collie have an obsession with water? Meg would have been brilliant to wash clothes with in the olden days. She pounds away in her paddling pool. And the amount of times we've had men starting to strip off near lakes or canals as she looks like shes drowning is unreal! (Not always a bad thing though *wink wink*). She likes to splash and bite the water and scream and yip whilst doing it. Yup shes a freak. ![]() Now our other collie Neo is coming up to 10 months and is starting to realize what all that tackle down there is for. Now I say this with my hand on my heart. I thought Meg was weird but Neo is just...Queer. Hes a really REALLY strange dog. I don't think hes all there. Sometimes he just looks at you and there is definitely no-one home. He also takes himself off but just to lie down. That said if Dads about then he stalks him and is literally his shadow. Bit of the Brokeback Mountain syndrome there! Hes started obedience and its coming along. I'm hoping to make it something he enjoys so I can compete with him but if it doesn't happen, I'll still have an obedient dog. We hope lol. Hes also beginning his flyball training and is doing great. Can't wait til he can start competing (granted mum will be running him but its still exciting). And then...when hes 18 months hes mine for agility training. Hes going to be good I can tell, he already jumps about 6ft in the air for no reason oO. As a pup: ![]() And a more recent. This picture about sums him up. ![]() I need to take some more, hes grown into his head now. I'll see about getting some later. Stunning dogs everyone, we said our next one will be a Blue Tri Merle Boy for dad to run ![]() |

Also...does anyone elses collie hold the belief that you couldn't possibly manage to go to the bathroom or have a shower on your own? Because Neo seem to feel its his duty to accompany any of us each time we use the loo or have a wash. Maybe he thinks we'll fall in an drown? Either way its the only time he'll come and actively seek you out.

clicker training can be used with dogs of ALL ages so i would say that clicker training both of them separately will help one with the hyperactivity as it will stimulate them mentally and physically and it will give you a little more control over them. I'm sure you know but a highly active dog needs physical as well as mental stimulation.
