Pah - think yourself lucky!! One of mine once came back to me with the very, very rotten remains of a hedgehog. Then decided to shake it. Bits came off. And hit me. Lovely.

It must be a staff thing, our girl loves them! She carries them in her mouth and won't let go, I have to run home screaming at her and ringing Nick to tell him to get ready for us. Their spines don't seem to bother her. Unfortunately she's had quite a few over the years, some of which we've managed to rescue in time.

i have a staffy, staffy lurcher cross and a staffy/pit cross and they do things like that every day. i think its in their genes. The pure staff is a bouncy nutcase who would and does eat anything, including the poop of other dogs on occasion. Nice. The staff/pit regularly eats crabs washed up on the beach, and the staff lurcher has a habit of rolling in fox poop in the forest
