Just got to love him. The main thing that stops us getting a Newfie is their obsession with water. Don't really want a big ol newf dragging the kids out of the pool in the summer.

I don't think that Ursa read the book about Newfies.
When I take him, chalky and Urian down the riverbank he won't go anywhere near the river. However all of the dogs enjoy a little paddle-ette in the kiddies paddling pool when the weather is very hot.
I must admit, I was a little disapponted that he doesn't like to swim. I used to have a giant schnauzer male who would break ice in winter to go for a swim <brrrrr>.

Do you promise to poke your fingers down into his ears while he sighs in absolute bliss at the sheer pleasure of it, keep the back seat of the car folded down so that he fits in it, wash the floors 10 times a day in wet weather, provide him with a big paddling pool on warm sunny days? If the answer is "yes" I might let you borrow him lol.

He also has a party trick. When I cuddle him, he likes to put his jaws around my neck and just hold them there. Makes people shudder to see it but I trust him.......just as long as he doesn't sneeze hehe.
Yup i promise lol. Have to do most of that with my staffs and rottie anyway lol. Have the two female staffs in bed with me all the time lol..
That would hurt if he sneezed lol. I had my fingers in Keiras (staff) mouth and she sneezed and bit my fingers lol.hurt like hell

What newfie string drools? Ursa has never drooled in his life.
