our eldest just got back in after several hours out,and he noticed 1 of his rats has end of its tail missing,the end is on a shelf ,i think its had a fight with its sister,the rats huddled in the corner and i cant see if their licking it clean or nibbling it.any suggestions.

Is there any chance you can remove her to access the damage as they could possibly nibbling on it

you may have to take her to the vets as she will more than likely need antibiotics otherwise she could get an infection in the wound

you will have to give it a clean too with some warm water with a lil bit of salt in it

and keep her on clean paper towels so as not to let any dirt get into the wound

not got a spare cage,noticed theres 2 white stringy bits still poking out the end of the tail

have you not got a lil spare viv you can put her on on some paper towel or something till you can get her seen to at the vets tomorrow

as i think it would be best to move her out from the others to avoid them carrying on nibbling or killing her
