Default Poor wee staffie

Had some really good news yesterday.
We recieved a visit from someone from staffie rescue scotland to check us and our brood out for rehoming a poor wee soul and he says everything should go through ok.
So now waiting for a call from Edin to see if we have to pick him up, over 300mile return journey but well worth it.
He is beautifull dog that has had it pretty hard and he will get lots of love and exercise with us.
So fingers crossed.

Long story short we couldn't get the one we originally wanted but today we picked up buddy and he is gorgeous.
He was mistreated and must have been half starved because the rescue centre we picked him up from had him on a three meal a day diet to try and gain some weight.
He is six months old and still very thin but is so gentle and friendly, he has real bad dandruf and his coat is a bit thin but we will soon get him on the mend.

Thanks all for the great replies.
But now I have to ask you for some advice on his food, we were told he would eat anything and the rescue centre had him on a three meal a day diet to try and build him up.
I had a quick look online and foud 2 varieties of food, one is Dr johns gold and was recommended on a few staff pages,
the other is Gilpa kennel which is also advised for working or sporting dogs but also claims to be the first ever complete extruded dog food with the Green-Lipped Mussel extract, natural herbs and nutrients targeted towards supporting the integrity and mobility of joints.
I have no Idea and have been told to also use cod liver for her skin and coat, but any advice would be greatly recived.
Thankyou all
Dave

I will try and get a couple of pics of him tomorrow when he is standing, you will see how thin he really is but at the mo he is zonked
