my neighbour has told the council how many animals i have now have to sort something out. If anyone within 20 miles of buntingford has a spare shed or something i could rent i would cd so grateful, either that or ill be forced to re home them. I dont want to have to do that as i bred most of them myself. If anyone can help pls pm, ring or text me asap, ive got til this time next week. Thanks 07873590317. Anything would be better than nothing x
I'm 40ish miles from you, don't have a garden, but if you can't find anything better, I can help out short term with anything small that can be housed indoors!
Its the same here, we are restricted in the animals we can keep like we cannot keep ducks anymore for example. I had mandarin but they came under 'farm animals', who has been to a farm that has a load of Mandarins walking around, I pointed out they would not be standard farm animals but they said ALL ducks are classed as farm animals, but anyway some of their rules are so stupid. I wish I could help you, keep us posted please on how you get on. Tell you neighbour I said
Wish you lived closer, I would be happy to rent you a shed, a big one at that. So sorry to here about councils doing this to people and it's nearly always the ones who keep them clean and cared for that get hit.
I do foster work for Manchester Rodent rescue at times so I know the score.
I'm so glad I was so pushy 9 years ago about buying a house simply because I did not want anyone telling me I could only have x number of pets. Not only that we made sure we have freehold aswell. As even if you own your home some leaseholds have clauses that say no birds at all never mind just chickens or ducks.
We have 120 foot large rear garden, tree'd with sheds and kennels and cattery and lovely neighbours. Really lovely neighbours as we have 2 cockerals at the moment. We have asked many times if they are a problem and no one minds as they don't crow early and if they do they haven't heard them.
yet my last house, neighbours would go nuts if a dog sneezed let alone bark. they put poison down to kill the dogs and other pets, which was pushed under our fence! so we have suffered before.

I have to agree with you. If someone decides to rent instead of buy, then they just have to abide by any restrictions placed on them in the terms of the lease. It's a pain but there you are. I own my place so can have more or less what I like. My son rents and has to abide by the landlords rules that he can only have 3 cats even though he would dearly love another one and a couple of dogs and some chickens. He is saving hard to buy his own place so that he has the freedon to lead his life as he pleases.
