so you have 12 dogs? i couldn't cope.
another option is a beagle or beagle cross. i've had a beagle cross before & he was a wonderful dog but alex will take some pursuading. but i think beagles are 'easier' than a border collie. and my cross was a pain to housetrain, don't know of that was just him (one of his brothers was the same though & was re-homed becuase of it) but i've since been told that beagles can be difficult to housetrain. is this true? coz i don't mind being patient & it taking as long as it takes but alex wont be impressed that i've talked him into getting a dog he doesn't really want & then it not being housetrained for ages.
